Ocean Signal’s PLB is the world’s smallest PLB, at just 75 x 51mm. Thanks to its compact size, the personal locator beacon can be operated with a single hand, even in the most challenging situations. A simple spring loaded flap covers the activation button, preventing inadvertent use.
When activated, the PLB transmits your position and ID to a rescue coordination centre via a satellite link. Rescue services nearest to you are quickly notified of your emergency and are regularly advised of your current location, ensuring a quick rescue. RescueME PLB1 works with the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search and rescue satellite network. As this is funded by governments, there are no charges to use this service.
